Measuriing a Bay Window

Hi

Can anyone advice me on the best way to measure a bay for curtains (pencil pleat).

Never had to do it before!

Many thanks

  • the easiest way for a person who has not done it before is to put the track up first then just measure the track.
there is a guide here for straight windows which is pretty much the same

but as i say with the track up it is probably best

Put up the track. Measure from the track to the floor. If you are making them yourself you need to add 9 inches for hems, plus the pattern repeat and remember that curtains always look better if they are at least 6 inches on the floor.
