Karrimor Rucksacks with 70% off

Just picked up a couple of Karrimor rucksacks from Soccer sports today - the daysack had 50 % off and the rucksack had 70% off. Both good bargains.

The best deals were the Bobcat and Panther, which were reduced from £100 and £70 down to £30 and £20 respectively.

Preparation for a summer treck! ;D

  • The boss of sports soccer bought Karrimor when it went bust a few months ago, so these will either be old stock, or new stock that the company are making under the brand, it would be interesting to know what the quality is like as Karrimor stuff was always good
  • I hadn't realised Karrimor had gone bust - mind you saying that I'm not surprised - I bought a pair of decent walking boots (Karrimor leather + gortex ones (140 odd quid) ) and they were dreadful - the leather filled up with water like a sponge.

I didn't realise Karrimor had gone bust either.

Anyway the bags I purchased are good quality (very good even). The K. - panther bag is an old favourite for hikers. The bobcat is the budget 65l version with less padding and without waterproof cover - better colour though 8) !

Personally I wanted a Berghaus bag but the £80 premium sealed the Karrimor purchase ::)
  • It went bust last March!! I love their stuff, will look out for some bargains and post here...

Has it really gone bust?? I bought my first rucksack from them 32 years ago (18ish) and its still in the garden shed - the damn thing won't wear out!! What a shame (about the company).
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.
