Driving to Central London train alternative / Car Park

HI,
I am travelling to Kensington tomorrow from the north fora wedding. I dont really want to drive to Kensington as parking costs a bomb and is hard to find. I ususally go down the M1, park at stanmore for a few pound then get the tube in. Problem is the line is closed tomorrow!!
can anyone sugest an alternative station with big cheap car park i can drive to park over night then get the tube to Kensington
