Hi all. Very belated good wishes for the New Year. Still have my business in one piece despite a toughish year. Oh how I remember huge fixed over heads, staff to pay, never again. If this year is the same, no complaints from me:).0

Stocked up on goodies while in town, so it can do what it likes now!:D
Our Tesco shop I'd booked for this afternoon has been cancelled by automated message. Hmph. Not impressed.
We have enough of most stuff to survive, but only 4 nappies (son still not dry through the night or at daily naptime). So we could experience a lot of sheetwashing and disturbed nights if we end up being holed in.
Running low on milk - I can make bread but not milk the cow!0 -

A lot of country folk boycott Tesco for agri-political reasons, but ironically, they're the only ones that seem to deliver out here. As I've said before, we have a freezer big enough to take Bernard Manning, so we won't starve. (We have tastier things inside it than him though!) We freeze semi-skimmed milk - seems OK.
The oil is coming any day now, although we can last another two weeks at least if they have to delay. Logs are getting low, but again, I have some rough stuff to cut up without resorting to the furniture.
This is the kind of winter I remember from my youth, and it's just coincidence that I've moved back here after years of benign winters. Mind you, things were pretty grim this time last year in our rental; frost on the inside of the windows. Now that was a real return to the 'good old days!':rotfl:0 -
Ooh, it's nicer here than the battle of the age groups that's going on over there. :cool:0

Do I have too?
I likes it 'ere. :kisses3:
It is nice here but there is some ranting and shouting going on sometimes which can get tiring...plus there is also that 'thing' of 'domination' wherby one person labels themself as A Guru and plays the pied piper.
'Cept most of us aren't rats YKWIM?0 -
