Hurrah, hurrah the sun has come out, proper bright sun, not watery or cold sun. This morning doing the early rounds of feeding I could almost HEAR the trees in my friend and naighbours orchard growing and I knew it was going to be a beautiful day when I felt that.

Our chickens have been banished form the garden into our orchard...where they are meant to live, but they love the garden. Their favourite patch is under some conifers at the very end of the garden, near the gate through to the orchard. They've defiantley wrggled underneath the wire on the gate and made dust baths at the edge of the lawn, just next to the trees, and they are all spread out in the sun, legs behind them, a bit like spatch cocks!, and wings outspread, like they are on the cross. They have all relaxed, if they didnt have combs on their heads I'm sure the little wrinkles on their brows would have ironed out.

Our very, very ill dog was on a drip yesterday (my vet friend took her in so we could sleep through the day, it was a terrible weekend) and she was to have a transfusion today, but she has perked up so much that she;s been sent home, and she is playing with the others, and sunbathing too.

I know its not the end of the bleak of this time o year, but its such a promise of what spring might be.

Has anyone ever seen the snowdrops better than this year? we have constellations of them where we usually have lone stars and where they are usually thick blankets we have veritable duvets!

Can anyone tell I have the joy of spring today? :)

A month early than it used to be, so says the link...

I love bluebells. I love wild garlic (I think I'm the only person who loves the smell of wild garlic and can't stand the smell of lillies...and elderflower: both smell like pee to me.)

Yes, t'was lovely round these parts too......and where was I? Shopping!

As you know, lir, when one is out in the sticks, it's important to fit all the town jobs together on one day, so we did....but 3 towns was a bit much.

Glad to hear dog-dog is OK. Our fat cat has to go for a MoT test next week, and so do I. I have a nasty suspicion the my bill will not be a lot more than hers!:(

She beter rather than ok...I think we will be going to Langford, and she'll probably go on the drip again tomorrow, but considering saturday night we were convinced she was a goner and today she's eating playing and sunbathing things are better. :)

edit: yeah...get the towns thing. We try and do Bath and Bristol together when needing both ...my night mare... I go south for the experimental treatment which is a direction we don't often go far in otherwise, and its funny, because sure there are things nearer than we usually go to, but....seems further.

This post has cheered me up no end...thanks.:) I have had a hell day today...full of angst over trivia.
The sun was lovely though and, as the bus got stuck, i got off and walked home along the seafront and saw people sitting on the beach.
