Plusnet for home phone/broadband package?

Had a look through the forum but not found the answer so hope you can help...
As a result of an awful time with Primus (don't do it!), trying to find good phone/broadband package that includes 'closed group' calling benefits. I recently took the Plusnet Value broadband on and Plusnet seem (so far) pretty good with customer service although still early days and I know Plusnet is owned by BT. Anybody had experience- good or bad- with Plusnet for the line/phone packages and can we use 18185 override if we go completely with them for daytime calls?
Both me and mother have line rental with BT and have had problems with them and I'm really annoyed with BT at moment as still waiting for them to respond/reply to our complaint 3 months down the line (spoken to Otelo and will be escalating complaint) and so would prefer to leave BT but don't want to cut nose off to spite etc..
Any thoughts/advice?

  • Thanks Shane
I will get the salient points together and email you with the details- it would be good to get things moving as our contact with customer services has so far got us nowhere. Helen

  • Hello.....Shane.....Is anybody out there in BT company representative land?....

Although I wasn't expecting our complaint to be all done and dusted as it takes time to investigate matters, I was though expecting an acknowledgement of my email to show our BT complaint was received and finally being looked at but 7 days later- not a peep.
I was keeping my fingersX that something could be sorted out without me having to escalate the complaint so I'll give it a couple more days and then post the letter to the Manager @ BT complaints review service. And then, if still no reply after 10 days- the Ombudsman.
I very much look forward to a reply. Helentroy
