Alliance and Liecester shares 1997

I have been trying to find out where my shares went in November 1999. They were apparently sold by Barclays Shareholders Limited but I have never recieved share certificates nor any funds. Is there anyone in the same position as its been a three year trawl to get this far.

Hi Steve,
Do you mean you sold your shares through Barclays Stockbrokers in 1999? A&L demutualised in 1997 and were taken over by Santander last year. These webpages may be of help:
