She collects them on the friday. But her partner is in a good job. we dont recieve any maintenance from her. i dont know where we stand on this.

Stop harbouring on about the partner, they are not his children, whether he is a pauper or an oil sheik that does not come into it, contact the csa for maintainance, although I would fear a slow resolution for 2 reason.... :(

If the mother is not working and her husband does then she will be unlikely to be claiming benefits then she will be assessed as zero. If she is working then she will be assessed on her wages only

if they recive tax credits then they will be counted as nrp's income.

be warned though, the csa tend not to chase femele nrp's as much as male ones. they feel sorry for them apparently.

cos kids magically become free to care for when they live with dad.

That is not true - they chase all NRPS regardless of gender but as a poster has already said, if she doesn't work then you won't get anything unless it is assessed on any child tax credits they get. Fact is that there are more women who don't work than men (particularly if there are children at home), there are less female NRPs in the first place and there are also more women parents who work part-time so the maintenance they pay will on average be much lower than men's; nothing to do with them not bothering.

how do you explain that the % of non compliant female nrp's is considerably higher than male nrp's then? i cant remeber the figures off hand, but there was a very noticeable difference.

the agency is symathetic to them, pure and simple.

Having worked for them I can categorically state that this is not true - but then you always know better. Women are less likely to work, hence they are less likely to have to pay. Sure, they may be more non-compliant too, but that doesn't mean that they don't do anything about it.

has your financial situation changed dramatically since the Order was made? Is there still an ongoing case? how long since the order was made? we were originally made to deliver and collect DSD every other weekend and pay for travel the weekends we weren't driving across the country. Cost us hundreds every month. By the time we got residence our income was my sick pay, our savings were gone and the NRP was told that she would have to foot the bill.

Try a quick phonecall to the solicitor you used for the residency case.
