Each time I try to get on their site I get redirected to a blank page and the address leasycrabs.cn

Has their site been infected?

I've run a virus checker and it hasn't damaged my computer.

  • looks like their DNS record has been changed. I cannot resolve landlordzone.co.uk nor .com (same site). If it's redirecting to a random site, then it's been changed incorreclty and probably maliciously (although it's very hard to do)

I still can't get on! I just get a blank pdf page... I'm using Explorer 8 and AVG version 9.

Just tried using Mozilla Firefox and that fails too...

Thanks for your comment Welshy but I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying... Can you get onto the site?

Those fluent in "geek-speak" don't realise that we lesser mortals don't always follow.

He says he "can't resolve" which is an R2D2 way of saying he couldn't get on to the site either .

DNS= Domain Name System/Server LLzone.co.uk is a domain name which makes it easy for us to look it up , DNS is essentially a database that links the domain names to IP addresses assigned to servers/individual computers. All those more fluent feel free to correct:smiley:

There is a techie board on here if you want to feel totally scared.
  • Yup, it's f***ed - and I'm trying to get at it from my Laptop which is not running Windoze or IE (Linux/Firefox instead).

Poor old Tom: Hope it gets sorted soon, that site has so many gems in it!

    Glad its not just me.

Worryingly, it first asked if I wanted to load the new update to Explorer first!

I am using mozilla and its asking me to update the browser, although Mozilla is saying there are no new updates. So I suspect there is something seriously wrong with the site.

The update is from leasycrabs.cn, sounds very shady anyway, so I will wait till its fixed. Thats twice it has happened now in the last month.

Using IE 7 and it's asking me to update my browser too.. anyone clicking on the link above or bookmarks should be very wary of clicking on anything there that's asking you to update anything on your pc/laptop.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

I just pinged it, timed out. Based on the fact some can and some can't get there I'd say they have changed their server/host - and as a result there's a delay while the DNS Servers around the world make that change on their tables.

    Try tomorrow.

(Usual caveat of: Or some idiot at the ISP made a mistake)
