They wouldnt automatically send him for a scan anyway. People with epilepsy do not get a scan after every seizure, crikey if they did some of us would never be out of hospital!
Barneysmom the wandering could actually be a different type of seizure. I have 2 types, one partial complex didnt start till I was in my early 20's. I wander around, talking and being well 'odd'. People think I'm rude or drunk but I'm actualy having a seizure and have no idea whats going on http://www.epilepsy.org.uk/info/seizures/temporallobe.html0 -

I'm sure the OP would be better of getting real advice and help with forms from trained advisors local to them face to face, such as CAB, DIAL or another welfare rights organisation.
No two peoples situations are the same and the forms should not be treated as such. If it comes to appeal or tribunial, which so many first time claims do, it is really best to have the support & representation of the same person right the way through the process. It would be hard for a local organisation to 'jump in' at a late stage to provide this and undo someone elses work.0 -
I have had epilepsy now for almost 13 years and found that I got the best help in the first place from http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/can-we-help as I also had served in the forces.
Barneysmom I do hope your OH gets the help he deserves and needs asap.
Take care.
