Selling to bidder with no feedback

Hi all,

I use ebay to buy things regularly, but rarely sell.

I've put a topshop top on that is sold out in the shops, but the winning bidder so far has no feedback and has only just joined ebay. I've had a look at their bidding history and they seem to have bid on a lot of clothing items over the past couple of days.

I feel a bit anxious about this, would I be within my rights to reject their bid? Is it possible to do this? The item is ending tonight

  • Does the clothing look around the same size?
If they turn out to be a timewaster, you'll still have time to strike them and relist, so don't worry about milk that hasn't spilt yet :)

Yeh its all similar clothing of the same size - I just feel a bit suspicious because she's bid more than I paid for the top!

Yeh I can always relist or offer a second chance sale to the next highest bidder I guess.

    Thanks

Maybe they had a wardrobe flooded in the last week or 2, so need to replace their clothes.

Everyone has to start somewhere, we all had 0 feedback at one point.

Problem solved (of a fashion) - ebay have cancelled the bidders account so her bids have been retracted. Bit annoying when only a couple of hours left to go, but still have a lot of people watching so hopefully some people will bid.

The only reason I joined Ebay was because I searched for an item I wanted to buy on google and it came up as being on ebay. I would wait for them not to pay before you start worrying.

My only ever non-payers are brand new bidders. As soon as I see one I think uh-oh. Sorry, but haven't yet had a good experience of one!!!

I rarely have problems with zero feedback bidders I find they pay quicker and cause far less problems than so called established ebayers

My last few non payers (several months ago now) were all in double figures. I also had a non payer with 400+ feedback. All my zero bidders, and I get a lot of people registering to buy one of my lines as it is fairly unique, usually pay within 48 hours.

Yes, some of the Kate Moss at Topshop items were going for wayyy more than they were worth when they first came out, and sold out!
I know, it is worrying when they have zero feedback, I have probably only sold to about 10 zero feedback users (out of about 1500 sellings I should think) and only about 2 or 3 have not paid, it's just a case of waiting I suppose!
