rights issues and buying shares via online dealer (ie halifax etc)

if i buy shares through halifax online share dealing does any one know if they charge their usual dealing fees to take up rights issues? as their site doest seem to specify

Hi there,

I have taken up my rights in the past with my online dealing account and iv never been charged any dealing costs.

I use the motley fool online share dealing account. which is the same as the halifax one.
The motley fool online share dealing account is owned by the halifax and just done under a differnt name.
So if i dont get charged dealing costs then i would think it will be the same for others that use the halifax branded account.

i'd expect not to be charged simply to take up a rights issue, however it wouldnt surprise me if a few companies did it.
