hello all
On the 11/11/2009 i phoned up nationwide to cancel my ppi on my loan . The person i talked to said i could do and all i needed to do is write a letter and fax it to them and he told me my monthly payments would stay the same the reason is that i have 40 months left on my loan so they said i would recieve a cheque fo £2600 :rotfl:. They worked this out by doing £65 multiplie by 40months= about £2600 and my term would stay the same. But a couple of days later i recived a cheque for £1300 , i phoned them up and asked them what this was for but no one knew. I looked at my hand book and it says in there you would recieve a rebate if you cancel your loan or pay off your loan only if you have not made a claim but i told them i havent canceled my loan still no correct answers .The next step i took is that i put a complaint in to the complaints department at Nationwide and they told me they would have to listen to the telephone conversation i had on the 11/11/2009. When they listen to it thay told me what i said the person told me was correct. So the reason i am asking for your help is what do i if they don't give me what they said they would in the first place.

Hi there and welcome.;)
Right then they mentioned about the telephone conversation, write to them and ask them to send you a copy of the recordings as you have the right to request for this, give them 14 days to send it.
When you receive this, listen right through.
If nothing is resolved and your not happy with the way this have been dealt with then take your complaint to the FOS for them to investigate.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on.
