Hi Everyone
I need some help on how to compress a windows media file of 1gb down to 700mb to fit onto a cd-r. I have some films on windows media player (legit) that I would like to put onto a 700mb vcd. At the moment they obviously won't fit, so I need some advice on how to compress so that they will fit onto a single 700mb cd-r.
I am using Nero to burn them into a vcd and wanted to know if Nero's own encoding device would compress them enough. How else could i get a 1gb film down onto a 700mb cd?
Any help would be highly appreciated

Hi
Use Tmpgenc 2.5. select vcd and change the bitrate, to 99 -100% so that it will fit on a normal cd-r.0 -
I buy 8oomb CD-r's now. They might help a bit? You might also try DVD Shrink not sure if it will work for you but worth a try.0

Didnt you get nero recode with your version of nero??? There is an option on that to make VCD's0

Hi
Open Tmpgenc, Go to Project Wizard, it will take you through a few pages, the page you need to change is 4/5 in the example the file is to big, so just change No 2, to 100% of disc capacity, click Next and it will then encode to vcd once its finished, you can then burn with Nero.
