If you'd like to learn more knitting skills or learn to crochet, I would definitely recommend the Stitch & B!!!! books. There are two general knitting ones here and here, one with patterns for blokes , and a crochet one.

I have all of them and I love them all. The instructions for beginners are very good too.

I would definitely recommend the Sew Pretty Homestyle book - have a quick look here - it has laundry bags and these great stand-up boxes (a bit like tote bags but that stand by themselves) for storing bits and pieces as well as her cutesy hearts and dolls. I also have a good site (somewhere) where you can buy all the fabric and they take paypal (if that's of interest).

Hi ChocClare , can you point me in the direction of the website that sells the fabric? thanks :D

Hi nuttywoman, I used these people, but there are also these people and these people. The first two take paypal if that's any consideration (it always is for me as that's my "free" money!).
