Fixing Curtain Rail

Hi
I have a curtain rail that keeps falling down...lol. I have a pair of heavy curtains(got black out lining on them). The problem is that on one side where the bracket fixes to the wall with 2 screws in rawl plugs,it was like drilling into a hole that had been filled in (i.e no brick there) i filled it in with Unibond No More Cracks (Perfect for large holes & gaps),but the rawl plug has pulled out.
Can anyone help do i need bigger longer screws or something else....

Cheers

Ian

you could fit a wooden batton along the length you need with a numnber of screws / plugs to spread the load on the well then just screw the rail holders to the wooden batton.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

  • either try getting another bracket and put it further up, or just move the position of the origianal bracket!

Thanks for the replies, i might have to get another bracket Tom as the one at the moment is an 'L' shape, but the bit that sticks out is longer than the bit on the wall.
