Moving funds between BMid/Saga/AA savings

Has anyone found a way to move funds directly beween a Saga account and an AA savings account without involving multiple BACS transfers?
I've got a Saga fixed rate maturing in a few days and would like to park it in a new AA instant savings account for the time being without making two BACS transfers in and out of current accounts. They're all part of HBOS's Birmingham Midshires operation so doesn't sound implausible but just getting contradictory buck-passing from the drones at their call centres. Anyone managed it?

I had the same problem with them and couldn't get any sense out of them by phoning. Everyone I spoke to said something different. Totally clueless shambles.0
