funny noise from tv

Hi we have a bush 28inch widescreen tv, about 5 years old. This has happened about four times but there is a buzzing noise coming from it. If we turn it off standby it goes or if we bang it near the on/off switch it goes.
It doesn't happen very often but worried it might be dangerous!
Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks in advance

I have the same tv as you do I think, piece of junk has had 4 repairs in 2 years thats how bad they are, however not to digress, I bypassed this by listening to the speakers either side of the screen and the one that rattled I turned offusing the remote control and moving the ballance to the one that was o.k.
A month later changed the balance back to central and it works o.k.
Other things also, turn off the stero setting or turn on the stero setting if it's not on.0 -
Thanks for that, don't even know if we have a stereo setting, so will look for it.
My SIL has same tv and she has had probs with hers as well. Think it was £200 ish and a tesco's special!!
Am hoping its something simple before we spend money on getting it looked at.0 -
Ours was £219.99 from Sainsbury's, had a black one first then like a mug when the black one lasted 1 year we got a silver one.bargainaddict wrote:Thanks for that, don't even know if we have a stereo setting, so will look for it.
