possible to get £100 "switch" bonus from RBS

hiya,
I want to join the RBS current account and grab the £100 "switch" bonus.
I was hoping that it would be similar to the barclays offer.
However, I think that I would genuinely have to switch my alliance & leicester account over, instaed of simply making a few mothly payments to my newly created RBS account?
Is this the case?
