can you sell your Ebay ID?

is it in Ebay rules to sell your ebay ID? I know that some people have done it and stated that the sale is for the 'password only'.

it's just that my feedback is 450, and now that Ebay is becoming increasingly hard to sell on (well it's easy to sell but each sale is very very little profit for the effort) and thought I may cash in and help to clear my debts!

you could sell it, thats if ebay dont take the listing down, put down your feedback score and everything and if someone buys it change your address and personal details to theirs and give them the password,
(also you could sell it and then a couple of days after you give them the password try and login and if they have chaged it try the secret question and you might be able to get the account again and have the money, but i will say no more)

dont think it would be a fair thing to do to thers i.e leave the door open to scammers which essetialy is who would buy it, it would not sit comfortably with me personaly knowing i allowed someone the means to rip others off with

To be honest I'm not sure anyone would want to buy an ebay id...except possibly a scammer - and they can just as easily set up a new id and spend £4.50 buying 1p items to get to 450 feedback..or as most of them do - just spend 20p to look "legit"!

what a stupid idea - feedback is the most important thing to look at when buying something of someone!

if a scammer buys the account alot of people will buy from the scammer because the feedback is good, but then find that they have been ripped off!

personally i think it is wrong and i hope ebay wont let you sell your account because we have enough scammers about!

    enough said!

    WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you for real

That is definately fraud and obtaining money by deception. I think this shows what a complete dishonest person you are to even think along these line never mind actually putting it on this forum.!!!!!!!!

MSE is for those who are serious about saving money or helping others and not for dishonest advice

I think it would be a good thing if you took your own advice and 'SAID NO MORE'

I can't belive you are suggesting that I sell something then get it back whilst keeping the money! Thanks for the suggestion but I think I'll pass on that.

The only reason I thought about selling was that I've been doing my sums this afternoon and I could so with some more cash. I realise now that selling my ID is just wrong!

As the op has now made his/her decision, I think it's better to close this thread now as it is certainly touching on dodgy ground!
