  • Got my Morrison's £4 deal today as well actually got 2. Have frozen the soup and pork as the dates were 14th dec. Only me and DS for Christmas lunch so will blanch veg for freezer tommorrow and with some stuffing and yorkshires 1 pork joint will be that sorted. Unfortunately the trifles are dated 13th Dec so looks like I have 2 strawberry trifles to eat before Sunday, sure I'll force them down though :D Also picked up couple of other offers while there. i don't usually shop there as it's a 35mile round trip but was passing so took advantage.

Spent last evening reworking budget, going to have another go at it later. I could still stick at the 4000 but won't be able to save as much, have got to make some further cutbacks or there'll be no money for carpets and flooring after the work being done.

I tried to leave a comment but did not understand the profile thingy so it was having none of it.
You made me smile. I hope all goes well for you in 2010.

  • Good Luck with the blogs, going to look back and try and find you all! xx

Does anyone make their own baby food here?
I think it's costing more than buying jars.
I spent nearly £2 on parsnips and sweet potato and only got 5 meals out of it. Heinz jars I can make 5 meals out of 2 1/2, for around £1.40 with far more variety than I can make.

It might be cheaper if we ate fresh food but we eat different things and I am currently on Weight Watchers frozen meals.

ANyhoo, good luck planning all your budgets. I have started buying farmfood saving stamps - it's quite a cheap shop there! And am going to order from Tesco over the internet next year as can save alot in bus fares plus alot less hassle!!
