Forgive me for not reading all of this thread. I've got a young baby so don't have alot of time on here and what time I do have is a luxury!
but... when January starts what happens on here? Do we just post on here or do we have our own individual threads - cos I was thinking of maybe having a blog for mine and a link in my signature (if it's allowed) where I can keep a running check on everything and share photos.

Just popping in to wish you all the very bestest of best luck with your challenges.
I recognise lots of the names here, and so I know that you'll all find each other very inspiring, supportive and encouraging as your year goes on
I love challenges, so would usually jump in with both feet, but we are due another baby in March and with such a short gap between them I don't know if I'll have any spare brain to join in.:D
I shall read when I can and want you all to know I'm with you in my heart!
Love Weezl x

How excited am I? I signed up to Quidco at long last, after having seen it mentioned on MSE a million and one times before and never looked at what it actually was. Doh!! I assumed it wouldn't be something that would be applicable to me being out of the country. I see so many opportunities there, especially for travel on my big trip home; we have to hire a car and book accommodation and I usually buy presents for family on-line to save on postage, flowers for my muvva etc. It'll be interesting anyway to see what I can add to the coffers or if I can use any proceeds to avoid other spends.
I'm gutted at the thought of what I've been missing out on in the past. :eek:Mortgage

Good morning and a huge HELLO to Weezl! :hello: I'd to rename the challenge because of all the various other budgets that wanted to join, so here we all are for 2010 unless they move us again. :rotfl:Congratulations on impending frugalmite, hope everything's going to plan for you.
Welcome on boarde, Puddleglum, I love the username!
Mama, just pretend you didn't see that comment as nothing's certain, HS is returning next week then we'll have a couple weeks left before the new year begins and I want the budget sorted by then, as it takes precedence! :rotfl:Same thing happened last year, but then nothing materialised. But it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings and this fat lady is on the weight loss challenge! :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I had noticed this too and meant to say something...I don't think this qualifies as a satisfactory answer though Nyk...

calm down you old frugglies! although you're welcome to share the goss anytime nykmedia!
Well, I've already a quarter of the months grocery challenge money - so not off to a fantastic start! Shower broke down yesterday .... hubby checked online and bought cheapest smilar model for £104 from argos -had £60 off apparently. he then casually mentioned that he could repair our old one with a £65 part - so i reminded him we are trying to save money and we've now ordered the part online... so although had to spend £65 have saved £40!
it's hard work trying to be frugal!0 -
Im in and hopefully some of you can give me tips? First attempt at something like this! Live with my parents which should make it easier! RICTUS123Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Thanks for your reply cw18
I bought a folder today with the alphabet on the side. whoopy! So I can put things in with costings on as i go.
And have also decided to take an old bed frame off my parents for my dd first bed - a 2ft 6" low one that needs serious pimping up, so just means I only need a mattress and priced one for £60 odd in Argos - so afraid she is having a frugal first bed now but it'll be marvelous when it's pimped! Going to have that as my January project - and might have a monthly project on the go.50p/£24.00 Xmas 2010:rudolf:
