Help: Setting energy monitor rate
Hi all. I need help on setting the rate (pence per KWh ) on my electricity energy monitor.
I am on Eon’s Fixonline V3 the tariff and the rate is 24.234 pence for the first 900 KWh per annum, Then 10.2585 pence per kWh. (Prices include VAT)
I also get the following discounts.
I have got an Energy elite wireless electricity monitor. I can only set one rate for the way my tariff works.(Different Kwh price rates) so need average rate. Currently got it set at 0.17 pence per KWh
You can only set tariff 2 for set night rate for tariffs like Economy 7
Any help would be grateful from all you Mathematicians out there.:j

I make it 11.88221 p/kWH
Band A = 900 units* 24.234p = £218.106
Band B = 1860 units * 10.2585 = £190.8081
Total Energy Bill = £408.9141
Total Discounts = 19.8% = £80.96499
Total Bill = £327.9491
Average units = £327.9491 / 2760 units = 11.88221p
I probably should of applied some rounding at some point but hey it should be close enough.
Didn't realise energy monitors didn't allow for bands, thats rubbish!!!0 -

Don't forget to adjust unit prices with discounts if you want to"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
