Big shed, unusual size, required

Hello all,
I've decided to get a new shed. We currently have a 6 x 4 shed, but it is too small for what we have in it. The space that we have available could take a shed up to 5 foot wide and about 8 or 9 foot long (or maybe a bit more). I've looked on the net and can't find anything other than the standard sizes (nearest is 5 foot by 7 foot, which wouldn't improve my situation by a lot!).
Anyway, hopefully someone might have a bit of knowledge on this?
Thanks in advance.
Duncan

Try a few companies on ebay - I got my shed off of there, sent them the dimensions etc and they then provided a good price.
I ended up getting a 14x8 shed with two windows, a double side door under the eves and one door on the side - all in including delivery and erection came to £650! :j0 -
Wow, that sounds good. I'll check it out now. Just type sheds on ebay?
Thanks,

Phone a few local companies for brochures. During the summer I had a new shed & needed a non standard size. I found a couple of companies that made up non standard size sheds. One of the companies came round to look at where I wanted the shed & made suggestions as to the best size for the space available. They took the old shed down & everything away as well, which was one of the reasons I decided to go with them.
Beware of the cheaper woods as a shed made from a cheaper wood won't give you such a long life & will need more maintenance. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Build your own? Then you can have it exactly the size you want to fit the space available.
Get the extra wood cheaply (good wood cheaper, not cheap wood) from a local timber yard/merchant and utilise existing windows/doors etc from existing shed to keep costs down.
If you are not a confident DIYer, get a local 'handyman' in.Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
there are free designs on the net.
once youve made one panel, ( say 6x4 ), its easy to scale it up to the size you require. then just bolt it all together.Get some gorm.0 -
Hi
Well made sheds from Florada. modular so you fit doors and windows on any side you want. Only downside is you paint /preservative coat it yourself.

I'm up with the handyman thing.
Put a add in local supermarket for a handyman / ex-joiner.
Its pretty amazing watch these people work.
We had one fit our inner front door (an external one), used hand-drill, manual plane etc..0 -
I would build my own. But then, I like building sheds. Not necessarily any cheaper than getting a ready made one. But much stronger and very satisfying. It ain't rocket science. Surprisingly few tools required too.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Just looked through my emails it was a company called timberlux on eBay turns out it was £560 and £60 delivery and erection company up the road wanted £1200 !! It was 3x2 timber t&g two week lead time. Hope this helps0

could always build one with concrete blocks and clad the outside with timber cladding , makes a very strong shed and looks like a shed to whatever size you want0
