FTB Utility Advice

Hi guys

got our confirmed entry date as 11th December

Anyways i am overwhelmed by the whole utility scenario

Currently the property as far as i am aware definitely has Prepayment Electricty with a key card with British Gas/Scottish Gas. I never noticed a pre-payment gas meter..

presuming it does have one though as it was an old couple.

I am wanting a billed meter so i can pay monthly debits.. obviously i will have to keep pre-pay for first 2 months probably.

What i am wanting to know is, when i go into the house on the 11th.. do i just phone British Gas and my electricity and gas should automatically be working and charged to myself?

thinking by looking around Scottish hydro is cheapest with the Go Direct 2 plan, and i emailed and they said the would install a billed meter.. never said at what cost though

Yes, they will probably supply you a new payment card/key too :)

The supplier will advise what to do when you contact them. :)
Perhaps they will arrange for you to collect a key from wherever you plan to buy credit.
