updating my tomtom

Hey people

I have a HP rz1710 pda which has a tomtom sd card which i brought 3 years ago. Increasingly, i have noticed that the maps on the sd card are not up-2-date - a good example is that new roads are not recognised.

Is there anyway i can update my tomtom sd card - do i download anything? or do i have 2 buy the latest tomtom sd card......

TomTom HP Navigation Pack - iPAQ rz1710/hx2110

Update April 2005 - ONLY For TomTom HP 2110 Navigation Pack

I assume that you just update the SD card, read the manual to make sure , theres a copy of that on the site as well

  • If you have a legitimate version (i.e. with licence, not bought off ebay) then when there is an update (currently we are on version 5) then you will get the opportunity to buy an upgrade at a greatly discounted rate.

I have TT Navigator 5, which I upgraded from 3 when the 5 came out. It cost me about £60 and included all the European maps too.

There is a new version I believe due out very soon, so no doubt an option to upgrade will be offered then.

Stand to be corrected, but I think this is just a software update, not a map update. See my post above for more info.

gents the Updates are purley firmware updates they come out every few months, things like making the GPS clock more stable allowing, road names to be viewed in long etc,

The only way to sort the mapping out is to buy the updated maps,

they come out every year but can get rather expensive as they will not be 100% correct event when first out ,

Normally the only major changes are mostly motorways or a few extra roundabouts,
