Hi
If you had a bank or bookie account open on your browser should you log out on each account for safety reasons or can you just click on the cross in the top right hand page.

    You should log out of the accounts before closing the browser since that will remove any local traces of the account from your PC (e.g. delete associated cookies that may be present on your PC). In many instances it is not necessary because the site may use what is known as a 'session cookie' which is automatically destroyed if you close the browser window. Best advice though is to always log of properly.

    As an example a friend used a public computer to check up on his portfolio in one of the BA lounges .. several weeks later he went back onto the same computer and he was actually still logged into his portfolio (with his name and address showing at the top of the screen).
