I am looking to buy a new audi
AUDI A4 2.0 DIESEL EXEC QUATTRO DRIVE THE DEAL 23638
OR AUDI A4 SLINE EXEC QUATTRO DRIVE THE DEAL 25568

CARFILE.NET PRICES FOR ABOVE ARE 23907 AND 24567

ALSO LOOKING AT FORD KUGA
DRIVE THE DEAL
FORD KUGA ZETEC 17877 AND TITANIUM 19167

Can anyone advise where I might get these brand new UK cars for slightly cheaper. Should I try my local dealers to compare the above prices and haggle with them???/

I would, get hard copies and do the rounds.
  • Get the latest issue of What car and use the "target price" to haggle, and if they won't match the price ring what car, they'll find someone who will!

also try broadspeed for offers, last really good offer was BOGOF on Dodge Nitros ;)

drivethedeal are brokers and dont actually have the cars - they get your details and then blitz the dealers on the last day of the month trying to get the deal.

If you get a hard copy and walk into a dealer, show your serious, take the car for a test drive and then pull out the offer they will try to come close if you are genuine.

The drive the deal prices often use multiple marketing programmes in a way that cant actually be replicated at once. Have seen a lot of customers leave the showroom only to return a few days later and order from us.

You need to decide whether you want to deal with a broker or a dealer.
Brokers may be cheaper as they have lower overheads but they dont care about you just the deal. The dealer wants a long term relationship with you as its more profitable.

Broadspeed, autobytel, etc are dealer owned websites rather than broker sites so give you the best of both worlds.
(not 100% about broadspeed - they may be a broker but think they pass leads to Inchcape and take a fixed fee on each sale.)

Someone will correct me if I am wrong - been a long day.

    re autobytel

so the above is a dealer and your advice is that I would be better phononing them than the likes of drivethedeal

for the audi 2.0d quattro buy a car is £ 24432 and Autobytel is £ 24673

I see the Ford Kuga titanium is £ 19400 on buyacar and £ 23223 on autobytel

If anyone can the above cheaper from dealer based please let me know

    thanks

do you really want the A4? they are extremely common these days, they look dull and as mentioned over priced.

I would continue to look online, recently a friend went to look at buying a new 3 series , several of the dealers wouldnt budge, when confronted with the figures from online brokers they replied ' there is no way we can match that'. If you do want to try a dealer I'd go closer to xmas when less people will be looking at buying a car, when you may get a good deal.

Didn't there used to be a website where you put in your requirements, these were emailed to dealers and dealers bid to do the deal, like a dutch auction for cars, can't remember the name though.
