Hi,
I have just found this, hope it helps your dad.
http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/employment/employment-legislation/employment-guidance/page33157.html
It only calculates for a maximum of 20 years though, so not sure if it will have to be put through twice, ie one for 20 & one for 15 years or if its a case of the maximum payment is 20 years??0 -
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/RedundancyAndLeavingYourJob/Redundancy/DG_10026616
The calculation for your statutory redundancy pay is based on:- how long you have been continuously employed
- your age
- your weekly pay, up to a certain limit (£380 current maximum)
- 0.5 week’s pay for each full year of service where your age was under 22
- 1 week’s pay for each full year of service where your age was 22 or above, but under 41
- 1.5 week’s pay for each full year of service where your age was 41 or above
Step one: 1.5 weeks x 4 years full service when you were 41 or above = 6 weeks
Step two: 1 week x 11 years service when you were under 41 = 11 weeks
Step three: 6 weeks + 11 weeks = 17 weeks x £380 (max weekly wage) = £6,460 statutory redundancy pay
The online calculator can help work out how much statutory redundancy pay you might be entitled to.
N.B. Only full years of service are taken into account when calculating statutory redundancy entitlement
(up to a maximum of 20 years).
£380 is the current maximum weekly pay (before tax) when calculating tatutory redundancy entitlement.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
