Tesco, PPCs and profits to charity

Premier has a touching faith in the information dolled out by the Tesco Help Centre. ...
That's what I was informed by many here.
Oh no, someone actually called them in the end ... but I'm sure at least one still didn't agree. Perhaps they were lying when they said they were a Tesco employee when in fact they were employed by Euro Car Parks. I think that's what the excuse was.
What proof have you got it's actually manned by Tesco staff ...other than me saying so umpteen days ago before the areguements started?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I don't care who mans or womans the helpline. I assume it is probably Tesco staff and if not some call centre staff outsourced to do it for them (Europarks or whoever). It is clear however most if not all Tesco car parks are run by PCCs who according to the (Tesco) call centre staff contacted by poster here, say they are managed on a fixed fee basis.
I am willing to take this at face value too, but wonder in practice how it works. How much is raised is spent on running the car parks, how is the profit determined and how is this profit is transmitted to Tesco. What does Tesco actually does with it.
I have done some intitial investigations into the Tesco charity trust and its accounts plus some rough calculations and posted them on pepipoo for any interested in this subject who is not a Tesco groupie like Premier.
But I need some more figures. Serious feedback welcomed0 -

Call them and ask. Ah but you might not take that answer at face value :rolleyes:usignuolo wrote:...So I want rather more verification than the word of a call centre operative..."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I think I've worked it out, premier is on some kind of commission for the amount of calls he generates to the bogus helpline.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Commission? Who pays that? Tesco or Euro Car Parks?
Does the Tesco Charity of the year know that the phone line pays commission?
:rotfl:
More importantly, has anyone got proof that they don't pay commission; they might do :rolleyes:"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I had not heard of them before, but of course it follows that they must be upstanding members of the community by virtue of the fact that Tesco use them - HAHA!
I visited their website and was particularly amused by their 'legal' page:

The options available for pursuing an unpaid charge include filing a civil claim between the driver of the alleged offending vehicle.

The mind boggles!! Between what exactly?
quote:
In this civil claim, we must prove beyond probability that we are correct in issuing a charge. Using the law of contract, we regard this as a simple process of pointing out that the driver has agreed to abide by the respective land-owners terms, the driver has contravened those terms, therefore as a result, he/she is liable to pay the agreed charges as stated in the contract...
quote
...blah...blah...blah... - but nothing in their spin to say how this 'simple process' gets around the fact that the person they are pursuing is in fact just the registered keeper, who has entered into no such alleged contract!
Nice work, Parkment, LOL! :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I cannot see a 'Parkment Parking Solutions' on Companies House.
I seems that their website also breaks regulations about showing their registered address on the website. That is reportable.
I am sure someone with more time could find much else..0
