Advice needed re hfc ppi

I took out a finance agreement with HFC via pc world a few years ago, I didnt realise till my statement turned up I've been paying PPI insurance, I've been off work for a year since the agreement has taken place (breakdown) I've been making regular payments, I remeber phoning them up and asking if i had insurance, I was told I didnt, which is the best way to reclaim? just ask for the ppi monies I've paid or complain I wasnt given the correct information when I phoned up?

Hi and welcome.

How annoying for you, they told you that you did not have insurance, and yet your paying for it!

If you still don't want this, as it seems like you missed out on this anyway, write to them and try to reclaim on this.

thanks for the advice, so its best just trying to reclaim the insurance, been looking in to HFC I'm amazed by the amount of compliants, and the fines....

When was your HFC agreement if you dont mind me asking, my husband took a similar agreement out with them and the rates etc were sky high and pretty sure he was PPI'd without asking too but this was from 1999 so a long shot really. Would never ever deal with them again.
