BT crazy charges!!

Hi. I am at my wits end with BT, and dont know where to turn next.
What started of as a so called simple name change on our account has turned into a nightmare which led to BT changing my number 3 times and now trying to charge me over a hundred pound for the hassle and inconvenience, despite being told that I would not be billed, and despite admitting their mistakes. And admitting that people there had given me wrong info.
I have been onto their call centre several times today and, suprise suprise, am getting the problems which others on this site seem to be coming up against.
Has anyone got any other contact numbers please? 40 years with BT they call this Sham customer service!!:mad:

Hi boofuls1, I am very sorry for the problems that you have experienced with your account. Please email your BT details, query and Forum name to btcare@bt.com and I will look into this for you.
Regards Rodney“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of BT. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Hi Rodney
Thanx for the reply, Tried to email you twice but I think I got timed out. Sent you a shorter email as a test, rather than an essay full of info. Don't know if you have received it...

I would like to pass on my thanx to Robbie from BT, for calling me back and agreeing with the extremely poor service I received from BT. He apologised and removed the cancellation charge from my bill. Dealing with BT call centres has been a hard nslog over the past few months, and the staff over there are impossible.
Thanx also to MSE. Without this forum, I would still be banging my head up against a brick wall, trying to contact someone with half a brain at BT.
Fingers crossed, my BT problems end HERE!! :T0
