could you make some mini soft toys, cute quirky things are liked by adults and kids, i wonder if baby socks could make cute little sock monkeys/pups?0

I made little crackers as place-cards for our table.....just toilet roll tubes wrapped in red and gold christmas paper.
I put in christmas jokes which I downloaded off the internet and then put pieces of fudge into each one (wrapped).
I finished them off with cellophane and gold and red ribbons. Each one has the persons name on them but they all have fudge in them xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Last year I bought bits and bobs from here:

This year I've bought this: http://www.hawkin.com/find/keyword-is-firworks/product-is-10000
It rips into 8 individual sections which can each (I hope) fit into a cracker. I thought it'd be a good way to round off the meal :j0 -
I like the scratch card idea, or even a normal lottery ticket...for delayed gratification!0

Last year I bought little metal puzzles from Hawkins Bizarre and stuck them in. Went down great as everyone fiddled with them between courses. Also stuck in jumping beans from Hawkins Bizarre too.0

Last year I put crazy bones in for my kids because they loved them. This year I am not sure, I might take a trip to hawkins bizaare and see what I can find.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

I've made my own crackers this year (well I cheated and used ones we got for 1p in the sale last year and I've opened them up to put my own things in).
I've stuck name tags on the crackers and put inside keyrings personalised to the person. And a lottery scratch card.0 -

Each year I love the idea of making the crackers, but then I get really stuck and the presents are more naff than the ones you get in a shop.
So far I have some fold up scissors on a key ring (naff I know!)
Any ideas would be gratefully received!
Thanks
It all depends on how much you want to spend. Our local garden centre are selling really nice pens with names on for £2.99:wave: Kate :hello:0 -
Instead of jokes. How about revealing a short funny story about each of your guests or family members. Then get everyone to guess which person your describing.
I saw that advert! The young fellah says "thanks Dad!" and Granny turns and says "he's not your father! We never knew who your father was!" The she's led out of the room to everyone's stunned silence!
Quality!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
