download license gone walk about....

when the new Band Aid single came out I downloaded it straight away. (Paid for it of course.)
It was the first time i had tried to download music. seemed quite straightforward.
but, a few weeks later, when I tried to burn it it transpired there was no license number with it, and without it I cannot use the download.
(it may have been there, but I wouldn't have known to keep it I think). I have emailed the site, to no avail, anyone know how I can get the licence number back?
