I've recently bought a new Canon digital webcam and would like to know how to use it as a webcam too.
I can't find any help on this in the camera manual and google hasn't helped much yet either.
Surely such a simple thing is possible??
Many thanks!
P.S The camera is a Canon S3 IS

Afraid not. To use as a webcam the camera needs to stream the video output, whereas most digital camera act as a hard drive when attached to a pc, allowing the PC to download pre-recorded files.(i.e. pictures or video) They need to be designed as a webcam to be a webcam.
