changing tariff via moneysaving expert/comparison websites
Hi
We have just checked the comparison websites, as advised on the moneysavingexpert utilities page.
We currently have our both elect and gas through npower and all the comparison sites have recommended a different tariff but staying with npower.
Can I change tariffs online and reap the benefits of the cashbacks or do I have to change via the phone and get nowt?
Cheers all!!

The offers are for switching to a new supplier. They are not available if only changing tariff. But at least the change of tariff should take effect immediately so no need to wait six weeks. So at this time of year that's a bit of an extra saving.0

As usual Kim has the wrong end of the stick, you can upgrade your tariff through Energyhelpline and still get the £15 cashback, its not just for new customers.
You wont be able to get cashback through Quidco etc. though..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

As a simple rule of thumb, if the comparison site allows you to switch through them, you should get the cashback (assuming you comply with all the usual terms & conditions)
Those suppliers/tariffs that are not eligible for the cashback will still be listed, but you won't usually be allowed to switch to them via the comparison site."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
