Abercrombie and Fitch

I have come across the following websites that "claim" to be selling genuine Abercrombie gear in the UK, for decent prices. Some up to 70% off (last seasons stock perhaps?)

Does anyone have any experience in using any of these stores? I am reluctant to use eBay as I have bought A&F clothing only for it to turn out fake. The websites do look quite genuine, but I'm just weary because I haven't seen A&F clothing for this price since the $ was 2 to the £ few years ago!

They offer returns/exchanges and refunds....it just seems to good to be true!

The best bet if you are not sure is to use www.whois.net to get some info on the company, i entered the URL of the last company on your list 'abercrombie-mall' and here is what i found. I wouldnt buy from them personally. The website was created 5 days ago. Didnt look at the other websites you listed because i couldnt be bothered! Sorry:o I havent found any cheap legit stockists of A&F over here.

The old saying stands 'if it looks too good to be true...'

  • This is why I can't leave my family alone to use the Internet...

Back from Uni at the weekend and my sister has ordered a hoodie from one of these sites. The use of the real logo at the top of the page was enough to convince her that the site is genuine as she was directed there from a Google search and hadn't seen abercrombie.co.uk. It came today but the quality is poor and the price tag is printed off-centre, suggesting it's a fake.

Helped mum contact the company who sold it demanding a full refund & mentioned trading standards if that will help. She also used her credit card via PayPal so maybe there's a chance of getting the money back that way. Will update here on what happens!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
the first one is from China! hahahaha

theres a really simple way of protecting yourself with these sort of in-demand products
either buy from the official site, or a linked retailer
    or
buy from a major brand name site, eg Debenhams, Selfridges etc

im surprised that 1st one exists, as theyre using what would be a registered trademark, & usually companies register the numerous variations available on their own name

The abercrombieonlinestores sells very poor quality fake items. Unfortunately, my boyfriend could not believe that A&F (original) will tolerate someone selling under their name and using their logo. I was very suspicious, especially when it came to the payment and we were directed to a chinese website. As soon as he paid, my boyfriend was conviced he made a mistake. 2 days ago we recieved the goods (we thought we wouldn't). Absolute joke! Disgusting - quality, materials, stichings... Now I am in a email war with them to get our money back. Their Refund policy is (actually I will paste it below:)) They also give for refunds the real A&F address(????) which for me means we are never going to get anything. We have been conned!!!!! :

Dear Customer, Thanks for your mail concerning returning and refunding issue.
We're sorry to hear that and sorry to bring you troubles. We can really sense your feeling about waiting with patience but turning out disappointment.
As to refunding issue, the common practice of our company is as follows:
Please return the item to our Distribution Center located in A&F Returns Department, 200 Abercrombie Way, New Albany, OH 43054, USA (Shipping fees normally $35 per item. And we will refund you soon after we receive it.
    During the returning process,
    1. The buyer is bond to pay for charges happened in the returning process to the Distribution Center.
    2. For international trade, the refund payment will be effected only after the item returns to the Distribution Center. And the buyer is liable for all risks happened in returning process.
    3. $10 handling charges deducted from your refunds by the bank which is beyond our range.
Since much inconveniences and charges will be occurred during returning process, would you please consider our promoting solution—20% refund back your account? That is, in order to avoid the troubles and post charges occurred during returning process, perhaps you can directly ask for 20% refund we offered to cover your loss while keep all the items you received. But we respect our customer's choice. What do you think about it?Thanks for being considerate and patient with us. We're looking forward to your early reply.
    Kind Regards
    Serena

  • There is no abercrombiefitch outlet. It is a well built site but is completely fraudulent. Your money will be taken by Mark Sun Ltd in Chinese Yuan and you will have no recourse through VISA or your bank. I advised abercrombie and fitch about this as many brands do indeed have outlet operations. I received a predictably asinine reply. They will do nothing either.
  • Ordered a hoodie from one of these sites around a year ago, when it arrived you could tell instantly that it was a fake, and the address seemed to be from hong kong, when the payment was sent to america, i wouldnt risk it, if you want to shop abercrombie that badly find the closest shop to you and go there. I returned the jacket at amazing postage fees, and never got any money back for it, complete disaster :( beware
  • My sister was having the same issues buying A & F stuff in UK - she ended up going online to US site and ordering direct from there! Shipping costs were about £30 however, she ordered enough for 3 kids for Xmas presents and said it still worked out cheaper than buying in Uk! HTH

PS-Ordered on Sunday (5th Dec) and arrived on the Thursday!

So does that mean that you didn't get your goods or when they arrived they were fakes ?
  • So you had better buy the boots:money:
