burkey - how can the guy give her money if he hasn't got and can't get a job? If he hasn't got an income then how would you like him to give her any money? He'll be struggling feeding the other 2, himself and his current partner too... Yes it'll be tough on your sister but if he's lost his job then it's not exactly a bed of roses for him either... when he gets a new job then make sure the CSA know :)

it's a shame the hardened, self rightoeus feminists on here don't have your views and compassion. :T

blood out of a stone springs to mind. :o
NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.

Tut tut speedster! I would consider myself a feminist but I would agree with what MrsTine is saying.

OP - I guess if they were still together and he lost his job she'd be supporting both of them.

Hopefully he will find employment soon and be able to start paying again.

DX2 how does that work ?

    NRP earns £200 (above the £100 )

    NRP partner on income support

So does that mean that NRP only has to pay £5 per week ?

Sorry not clued up on this

If an NRP earned £200 then the NRPP wouldn't be able to claim IS.

It would be the wages plus WTC/CTC

And the assessement would be made on the NRP wage (am making assumption of CSA2 here btw)

Complete;y on Maggied, MrsTine and Speedsters side here, no income, no payments. When he has job hewilll give. He maybe a good father like my husband ad give what he can and pamper to the !!!! the PWC gives out. Im with speedster, PWC who bleat on about this and that. Does the money really go on your kids !! I think not. I am a PWC and I prefer the " Childs involvement with their NRP" Route. Why make it !!!!!y and rubbish for your kids if you cant talk about things and arrange hal school trips, uniforms when needed etc etc. Ive said before and Ill say it again. Two people make a child. You choose for that child to live with you if you split. Why pester and make yourself look like you cant look after your child without screwing your ex !! Sorry my opinion

    well put.

only the raving man haters on here would beg to differ and see the nrp in an oak overcoat, as long as they're getting their money.

CSA1 is a whole different kettle of fish as an NRP can be in receipt of any of the benefits that DX quoted but it can come out as a nil assessment (if there are already children in the NRP's house and it's a CSA1 case and they are on benefits then it's a nil assessment and the PWC get nil. Obviously as soon as the NRP starts work then another assessment would get done.

    A CSA1 case also takes a partner's income into consideration unlike CSA2.

Your best bet is to PM Kelloggs with any figs you have and relevany details such as kids in house, kids support is claimed for, mortgage, benefits and tax credits claimed and she can give you a calculation of the CS payable.

Hope that helps...Kelloggs is our resident (unpaid) but very appreciated CSA1 expert (for her sins!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

    Thanks anyway
