I understand the idea completely. I just think it's a shit idea.You don't seem to have grasped the idea here.
You can get TPFT with glass cover.
Comprehensive cover gives you the opportunity to make a claim.
An excess higher than the value of the vehicle removes this opportunity.
Whether the PH intends to make a claim or not shouldn't be the only consideration here. Especially when we only know the saving being made, and not the total cost of the insurance.0 -
It's using the loophole that comprehensive can often be about the same price as TPF&T and with the bigger excess can often mean the comp price is cheaper than the TPF&T price. The bonus being you get windscreen cover on what in effect is a TPF&T policy0
