My car is not well!
Folks
I own a 2005 Mondeo 1.8LX. The heater has decided to partially die (it has power and the blowers work), just no heat. I've read various other car forums and no real help there. Is this something that a reasonable indy garage can sort out or do I need to visit a main dealer?
Look forward to your replies
Eamon
P.S I have no tools, inclination, ability, knowledge (beyond superficial) or the space to work on a vehicle.

We had this issue the other day and it was down to the coolant tank being empty. The reason it's empty is another concern (leaking radiator I think) but once I filled it up with water/anti-freeze the heating started working again..

as said above check you have actually got some coolant in the reservior. if you do then it could be the heater control valve, its common on ka, fiestas and some focus' may be on the mondeo aswell....work permit granted!0

Wish I had started this thread earlier. Checking coolant levels does fall within my (low) level of expertise. Unfortunately it is now dark and the nearest car accessory shop is shut. But I will investigate tomorrow.
Thanks
