ebay buyer made offer for two listings, how do i do it?

i am selling a number of items on ebay and a (sensible ) buyer has made a very reasonable offer which i want to accept, to buy two of my listings plus postage! (i know, i was shocked too!!)

does anyone know how on earth i go about doing this? all i could think of was to put a buy it now price on one of them, change the shipping price and then cancel the listing for the other item and send them both together, but that would mean technically the second item would be a freebie?

  • Well I wouldn't do that you may be in breach of terms and conditions for selling an item privately (cos basically that's what you would be doing) so be careful
This happens to me a lot so what I do is...reduce the prices on both items to the total they want to pay...through paypal I hope...then put them on 'Buy it Now' for both items. Then wait for the invoice so you can alter postage and packing price, if you intend to do that. Don't let the buyer pay for items until they receive your invoice.

Hope thats not too confusing ;)

    hey em

    agree with Maureen

If someone has offered you £20 for two items plus £10 postage, add a Buy It Now to each item for £10 with £5 postage. If you only put a buy it now on one item and send the two there could be a problem if they decide they want a refund or they try to say Item not as described cos techincally there is no description!

Can you edit one listing to include both items and correct postage costs and list as BIN for your buyer? Then cancel the other listing.

If you have no bids you should be able to do this.

Make sure your buyer knows when you are doing this so they can do the BIN.
  • Well personally I wouldn't do that...cos Ebay and Paypal are one and the same really ...so be very careful you could get locked out of Ebay for breaching T & C's

ah true, i hadnt thought of that glam!

so if they've offered £65 for both things plus postage, i could put a buy it now on each thing for £32.50 but tell her what i'm doing first so she can be ready to bid, then send a invoice with the postage totals adjusted?
