Removing Sealent

Is there any thing I can use for removing the sealent fitters use around double glazed windows. We've had a new window inserted and moved forward, so the old sealent is still around the old window space and very rubbery, I'm scrapping like mad but hardly shifting the stuff.

Any constructive help would be greatly appreciated.

Cut it off with a Stanley knife.

Tried that, the stuff is so thick it just slices tiny bits off, took me 2 hours to do under 2".

we have a razor type blade thats meant for taking paint of windows.b&q sell them, they are very sharp so maybe they might take the sealant off as well

I think that I read somewhere that there is a solvent available. Try Googling for it.

B&Q sell sealant remover as does screwfix. ( screwfix.com)
