When I try to boot to safe mode then instead of getting the options as usual, I am asked if I want to boot from the hard drive, floppy drive, cd drive or dvd drive - I can't get to the safe mode options at all.
Whats gone wrong and how can I sort it?
Thanks

I used to have an Asus board that would do that, but when I selected HDD it would then go on to give me the regular options (safe mode, last known...etc).
I presume yours just takes you straight to windows if you select hdd, yes??

start > run > "msconfig" > boot.ini > "/safeboot" > minimal > OK

once your in safemode, and you wanna get out,
start > run > "msconfig" > boot.ini > (untick "/safeboot") > OK0 -

If ure pressing F8, its bring up up your boot options, press esc, and and F8 again and that should do it..If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.0
