Recovery company question.

Hi has anyone experience with a company called 'reverse bank charges'

Around a year ago they called with an offer to re-claim my bank charges on my behalf for a small % of any monies recovered. I explained at the time that I was y in an IVA and asked if that would be a problem. They told me No and sent me a form to give them authority to ask for my old bank statements. I received a copy of the bank statements a few months later with all charges etc. then nothing at all happened. .

Around two months ago, I received a 'New form of Authority' that they wanted me to complete. ? By then I had become savey thanks to Martins Site and check this companies web site, after digging deep I came discovered that with an IVA the liklihood would be that the bank as a creditor would snatch back any returned funds, leaving me to pay this company what-ever % they were due. So no gain at all for me, more likely loss. I decided not to sign a 2nd Authority form. This week they have sent me the same Authority form ( twice ) in the post, for completion. however now they have added what seems to be a threat on their cover letter. which reads along these lines. ...They warn me that under their T&C, ( never received any T&C ) that I should cooperate with them. That a large amount of work has been actioned on my file ? no idea what, and they regret that failure to complete and return an up to date Form of Authority could result in your file with Reverse Bank Charges being closed and an administration fee of £150.00 per file being invoiced to me for payment.

I am out of my IVA now, however I wonder if anyone else has had this experience with this company and if they are able to force this admin fee onto me ?

They sent no T&C on the initial authority form, or as any attachement, the form I completed was to provide them with authority to deal with my bank for statements for charges for previous five years, This authority to do so expired on the form in Sept 2009.
Their 2nd form was a new form which I did not sign to allow them to represent me in regard to my Bank to recover charges with interest, with the claim they were now able to claim 8 years back and interest. In the small print it says their T&C'S were on their web site. which I could not find on their site, it took me about an hour drilling down on their site to answer my question regarding how this process worked in regard to anyone in an IVA. I am out of the IVA now and could sign the forms and let them try to fight on for the charges, but given the courts ruling I doubt they will achieve anything, however I am completely irritated by the way they have mis-led me with regard to my IVA questions and the lack of T&C with their paperwork. I worry others may also get caught out by this lack of information too.
