I knew it wasn't the end despite the banks and the media carefully wording thier statements.0

I'd just like to say a big THANKS to Martin and his team for the amazing speed with which they have responded to this development, and for keeping us up-dated.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

I know this is incredibly pedantic, but should it not be "the phoenix from the ashes".Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0

Fantastic! When I heard this on the radio, the way everyone was worded just smacked of scaremongering. "It's all over! Go back to your homes and places of interest. Nothing to see."
Rubbish! Never give up, don't let them bully us!0 -
Yes, thanks for continuing to help0

Big thumbs up to the MSE team. Bona fide consumer champions.
The judge should have explicitly said rather than hinted what he thought the basis for a legal challenge SHOULD have been. It's within his remit as part of the judgement.
However, great news. Let's get this into the media.0 -

Can't those who have claims in amend their POC to now include regulation 5? Rather than having it struck out and having to start again.

Thanks a lot for everything you and the rest of your team has done, but surely if the OFT now decided it wanted to go down a different route, we'd just go through another 3 years of dragging things out, before the banks get the decision they want?
Don't get me wrong, the amount I am reclaiming would mean I wasn't constantly having to borrow money off people, so I would love the door to be opened for reclaimers... maybe I'm just being negative after such a shocking and quite honestly sickening verdict...0 -

I'm sure they will try and keep a lid on this. I mean, they did have a spokeman for HSBC, I believe who ended his statement with "We would like to remind customers that the 'C' in 'H.S.B.C', doesn't stand for Charity, it stands for Corporation.
Like any of us were under that insane illusion. HA
I smell bias.0
