Court ruling

So can some one explain to me what the court ruling that was set today means for those of us who still want to claim back charges made by our banks?
I want to know if we can still make a claim or if it means that we no longer have the right to.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8378481.stm...the Judicial Communications Office said that each case would be considered on its merits by County Court judges.
The brutal truth though seems to be that the claims for refunds of past charges, whether at the banks, in the courts or with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) are dead in the water.
"That is the end of it," a barrister who specialises in banking told the BBC.
"All these actions will be struck out - there is no basis for them as currently constituted."
What's the basis of your intended claim?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Thats one persons view
to the op it may still be possible to get charges back they are allowing people to make claims but its not due to it being unfair the oft have to find another way to get round itReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. Two persons, two views I think you'll find
... and as one is there to communicate to the public on court matters, I suspect that one is quite accurate"Now to trolling as a concept. .... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/reclaim/2009/11/bank-charges-qa-door-reopened-for-reclaimersQ. My case is on hold with the courts, what is going to happen?
A. ...
If your case is based on the old template letters and the court deals with it, it's very likely to be struck out...
Q. I haven't yet put in a claim, what's should I do?
A. Hold off for the moment while we assess the new law of the land,...
Actually, I'm not personally convinced there is any new law of the land; it seems more a clarification of the existing ones
