I have that trap for my dishwasher , and it is advertised as suitable for a washing machine, BUT I did install a seperate waste for the washing machine.

    Not a brilliant answer sorry

That should do fine. The top part of the waste/washing machine connector parts can be turned in any direction when you're fitting it.

    this shows how its done.
apart from the waste hose isnt high enough. IMHO.
get the waste hose up to (approx) the yellow line first, then loop down to the trap if req.
    Get some gorm.
  • thanks, useful diagram. does it not really matter whether its a 1 bowl or 1 1/2 bowl sink then?

afaik no it does not matter.
you might want to put the plug in the sink/s though when using the washing machine.
helps to stop any blow back.
    Get some gorm.

Just had another thought. If the 1/2 bowl has an individual waste pipe then that won't do. You would need to get one with 2 connectors plus the washing machine connector. Sorry about the wrong info given before.

    Something like this.
