Can you have Primus line rental with tiscali broadband?

Hi, I've applied to switch my line rental from BT to Primus (£9.49 per month via the offer link in MSE article):money: but am concerned that this will affect my broadband service with Tiscali??
Have called Tiscali, they said it would be affected. Called Primus and they said it wouldn't. Who is right please?
As far as I'm aware the line itself does not get disconnected or changed, I am just changing whom I pay to rent this line - is this correct?
I also have Sky tv and have the same query regarding this service does this erquire BT line rental???
