Im sorry but 1 more question about tax credits

Two of my tax credits forms have been lost even though sent my special delivery, waited 5 weeks for the first one to be found, posted the second one and on the 4th week of waiting and the woman send she is sending me another because iv been waiting so long already
Now iv been told that the local tax credits office cannot do anything for me until they see a claim on the system so do I have no choice but to sit here and wait for them to keep losing forms and sending me new ones?
This waiting is horrible for me and they obviously dont care so what can I do?

Have you tracked your special delivery item to see who signed for it and when? It may help them track down the original forms.0

Yes i have printed it off but they say it doesnt matter, the address on the pre printed envelope is not one department so it could be anywhere which then made me ask the woman why was i told to send it by special delivery if it doesnt make a difference, I could have saved my £4.95
She even insulted me and asked me if i sent it to the correct address, when they send pre printed envelopes'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -
I've also been told they can't do anything until they see the claim on the system. It's help prevent fraud. I've now been waiting 8 weeks for it to be sorted.0

I guess we're in the same boat
Got through to complaints today and they have taken down a formal complaint from me and did a search there and then and have also sent an urgent referral to head office for me in order to see whats taking so long
Can still be waiting up to three weeks from today but im happy someone has taken it upon themselves to leave me a name and a direct contact number of someone to contact'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -
Bit of hope Coco, I phoned today to see if they had received the orm I posted last week, though I thought they wouldn't. It seems my claimI posted on 3rd October has turned up and is now on the system!!! I only had to wait almost 12 weeks XD *fingers crossed* for you0

Now I know me and my OH are not the only people who have been waiting for tax credit forms to 'show on the system'. And waiting, and waiting. Oh and waiting some more.
We sent ours off on the 24th September, and we are still waiting to be informed as to what we'll get.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

im sorry you have been waiting since September.
My form was sent in on the 2nd October and they found my form last thursday after I made a formal complaint on wednesday so id suggest making a formal complaint
my backpay is a bit confusing as i didnt get all my backpay but ill wait until my award letter comes and cross that confusion when it comes to it'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -
Your situation sounds very similair to ours, in that the first form went AWOL. It's now turned up alongside the 2nd one, which is nice and confusing for them apparently? We are now 'on the system' but god knows when we'll get the award notice or indeed any cash. We need it really to keep the wolf from the door.
Gearing up for a tight xmas. Thank god our son's gifts are all bought. No-one else is getting anything athis moment in time.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

pestering them by calling everyday and making a formal complaint might help speed up the award process, lol, my award process was done in 2 working days!'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0

We are doing exactly that (well the Mrs is, I'm at work). I'm sure they are sick of the sound of her voice right now. :rotfl:
Have you actually had any cash from them yet?Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.
