Fair play to the Bank of Ireland for showing some heart and not shipping out their employees when it would probably have been the easier solution... would you rather have seen these people become unemployed? Before giving a quick smarty pants answer, think of their families too!

I just hope they aren't expecting their commuting staff to eat normal riff-raff airplane food! Champagne breakfasts, Brandy Supper!
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

I second that. I worked for them too, and it was an eye opener to say the least. And I once ordered my holiday currency weeks in advance, as we were required to do, and arrived to pick it up the day before my holiday to be told that they hadn't ordered it because they had chatted about it in the branch and no one thought I could really be going on holiday to anywhere that they used this currency, would I not just like some Euros instead?! As if I would order currency for a country that I'm not actually visiting......Or at the very least if they had doubts you would think they could have rung me to check my destination ! Never again.

Therein lies the reason why our local banks continue to get away with fleecing their customers.

Well i got a 3.8% 1yr fix with them last month which i think was reasonable & i still have my student account, no fees, free overdraft so i think im doing ok out of them! Don't get me wrong I have accounts with other banks too but mosty BOI bacause it is local & the staff have always been helpful.
